Professor Julian Jackson

Julian Jackson is Professor of Modern French History and Head of the School of History. His research centres on French History since the 1930s. He has written on the defeat of France in 1940, the German Occupation, homosexuality in postwar France and the 'events' of May 1968 and is currently writing a biography of de Gaulle. He is a fellow of the British Academy and of the Royal Historical Society.
