Andrew Walker


Mile End Institute Doctoral Researcher



Andrew joined Queen Mary in 2015 as a PhD candidate researching the effects of devolution on power at the local level in the UK. He studied Politics at the University of Leeds and has an MA in The History of Political Thought and Intellectual History from Queen Mary, University of London. He has worked for several years in public policy research, most recently with LGiU, where he analyses the changing nature of local democracy, opportunities for deepening participation in the policy making process, and the relationship between citizens and the state.
