Three students from Queen Mary University of London's Schools of History and Politics & IR have been awarded a studentship of £1,000.
After a competitive application round, Phoebe Cousins (3rd Year BA History), Richard Oppong-Yeboah (MSc International Public Policy) and Jonas Bantete Pelendi (3rd Year IR) have been selected for the studentships.
The awards were available for students from East London as part of the Institute’s work on community involvement, civic participation and local politics.
One award has been sponsored by the School of History, one from the School of Politics & IR and the third by the International Young Leaders’ Network.
In return for the studentship, the recipients will assist at Mile End Institute events and support the Institute with digital outreach and community engagement.
