QMUL's Mile End Institute has announced details of a  brand-new prize that will provide recognition for outstanding examples of engagement in the QMUL community.

Sponsored by the International Young Leaders Network, this award kick-starts a larger body of work that the MEI is developing on the topics of community involvement, civic participation and politics in East London.

Place-based policy-making is one of the major concerns of the researchers at MEI, and will be explored in a number of our forthcoming events.

About the Mile End Institute

The QMUL Mile End Institute, led by Professor Michael Kenny, is a major new policy centre based at Queen Mary University of London. Its mission is to deepen and challenge public understanding of the crises facing our systems of politics and governance, and to promote a richer debate about public policy issues and the UK’s role within the wider world.
